Whew!
It’s been a couple of crazy busy days. I think I still have that new-job-glow, because my work days are just flying by. On the homefront, Kevin is giving Atkins another go. It worked really well for him the first time, so I’m jumping on the bandwagon as a show of support. Unfortunately, however, my carb intake has to be a little higher than what the plan allows, because of how the body breaks down carbs and converts them into electrical impulses. Since I have faulty wiring, I’m just reducing my intake, which is ridiculously high, anyway.
I know I said I would never give up my potatoes and pasta, but I want to be a supportive wife, so I’m limiting them. Yes, Josh, that means no beer, even if it is Coor’s Light. Okay, maybe just less beer.
I wish I had something more exciting to report, but there you have it. Sometimes, boring is good.

For the record, I’m not doing atkins. I’m simply reducing some of my gargantuan carb intake. Instead of eating a whole bag of chips, I’m not eating chips. Instead of having a couple of burgers or pizza, I’m having some grilled chicken, tuna, or steak.
All in all, it’s really not a hard transition. The difficult part was giving up soft drinks a few weeks ago. So far I haven’t broken down and binged (yet).
It’s actually kinda fun to make some different things.
So, if that’s exactly the Atkins thing, then I guess I’m doing it. To be honest, I’m just really reducing my carbs & junk. That does not mean that I won’t go hog wild on something, but I’m not…yet. 🙂

Atkins seems to work for a lot of people I know. I’ve reduced my carb intake because well, it’s icky, lol! I do love my taters and noodles though. :: sigh ::
Good luck with it Kev! 🙂

GOod luck with the low-carbs way of life. Mike and I are cutting fat grams with some success but I can’t say no to the bread and he wont’ live without noodles. I applaud those with more willpower.

Atkins is evil … glad your husband isn’t actually living by his anti-carb credo. You’d think by now most of the world would realize moderation in most foods is the key to health. Limiting or focusing in on one group or another is not healthy or permanent. What a hack that dood was.
