Last Day Off
Well, here it is: my last day off for something crazy, like 16 days. It’s all worth it, though, because my house is gorgeous. It’s like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one! I swear to everything holy, I’ll never get tired of this place. To top it off, Gianna brought me new reads today, so now I’m no longer deficient in the book department. Hooray! My dogs are finally settled in, the new dishwasher is whisper-quiet (unlike the one in the old house, which could be heard three states away), and the garden tub is the most wonderful invention in all the world. It’s so hard to believe that this time last week I was willing to forget the whole thing, take the money from the sale of the house, and move to Tuscany, where I would happily live out my days in wine-induced obscurity. Wait. That still sounds pretty appealing….
So now that my life has once again begun to settle, I’m getting back to the normal, day-to-day stuff. Which means that I’m once again thinking about writing a book. Which means that I once again have to battle my inner demons who wage a small internal war every time I think about this. Who knows? Maybe this time I’ll really do it….
