Stunningly Stoopid

How stoopid do you have to be to make international news? Ask this guy.

Damn You, WFAA!!!!!

WTF?!??!?!?!?! I switched on the Tivo to watch Life As We Know It, and instead, I got Wheel of Fucking Fortune!!!!!! WHAT?????? Why—-WHY—–would you preempt the best show on television for a re-run of The Photographers (which, by the way, aired at 6:30 this very evening)????? I have already boycotted our local NBC affiliate….soon, I will have nothing left! What the hell? Sure, the show is racy. I get that there is “Adult Subject Matter”. Guess what WFAA????? Some of us are over 25, and we want our Life! What’s worse, I tried to leave them a voice mail, and the mailbox was full (okay, so I sent an email instead, but I need some ‘splainin’!!!).

Shocking

Ok. there are much better ways to get out of a bad marriage than this. Really, a simple “Honey I’m having an affair and I want a divorce” would have sufficed. Coward.

An Evening With the Ladies (and Kevin)

So I called Kevin yesterday morning, and I mentioned that the Indigo Girls were playing at Bass Hall. I also mentioned that I would really, really like to go (note: by “mentioned” I mean “begged”). Once again, my husband came through, and we spent last night in Fort Worth. Not too many men would willingly hand over their Man Card and take their wives to a chick band, but I’m soooooo glad he did. The show was awesome, and the ladies have proven once again why they’re still around.

Greetings from Captain Slack-Ass

Yep. I’m a blog slacker. It’s not that I don’t have anything to say, it’s simply that I’m too busy to say it. OND is here (October, November, December), and in the world of retail, well, it IS my world. We have found time for some fun stuff, too: I took him to a Mavs game the other night, and today I ran over to Toys R Us to pick up a gift for a birthday party this weekend. Currently, I’m in the process of baking 4 dozen Fudgy Peanut Butter Bites for said party (hands off, Kev). I’m behind on Tivo, I made a doctor’s appointment, we picked out new flooring, I need to go vote, since I won’t have time on November 2nd, and I have to work for the next 6 days. Uh-huh. That about sums it up.

Speaking of slackers…..What’s he doing home today?

So Sad

We'll Miss You

Thanks For The Mammaries

It’s October, and that means only one thing: It’s time for
Boobie-thon! Get over there and donate, or, if you’re Josh, get over there and donate so you can look at the pictures (side note: that one girl’s boobs were bigger than my whole head).

(Land of the) Lost

Okay. So I watched the second episode of Lost. Here’s the thing: I have a terrible feeling that the show is some kind of flashy rip-off of a classic. When I mentioned this to Kevin, he had no idea what I was talking about. So here’s my question: What kind of kid who grew up in the 70’s/80’s doesn’t know about the show Land of the Lost? Who doesn’t know about Sleestacks? Am I crazy, or did the boy grow up in a cave (obviously not one inhabited by creepy alien dinosaurs)?
